When trying to express network_adapters and storage blocks using variables in a file named, the values are not being correctly interpreted I believe both keywords are of type list (map ( string)), but please correct me if that's not accurate. When set to credential_file, it will read the profile from ~/.azure/credentials. When set to env, the credentials will be read from the environment variables. When set to auto (the default) the precedence is module parameters -> env-> credential_file-> cli. Can also be set via the ANSIBLE_AZURE_AUTH_SOURCE environment variable. Controls the source of the credentials to use for authentication. true converts to "true", and vice-versa false converts to "false", and vice-versa 15 converts to "15", and vice-versa Literal Expressions. It also converts strings to numbers or bools, as long as the string contains a valid representation of a number or bool value. Packer automatically converts number and bool values to strings when needed.
You tell it the list of items, the maximum size of the generated string, optionally supply a delimiter for separating the elements, and you'll get back a list of packed strings. i.e., if you have a list of items that need to fit into a url, squeeze them in there.
